Bronze cat depicting goddess Bastet

A bronze statuette of the cat goddess Bastet. Bastet could be represented either as a cat, or a cat-headed woman. Under Dynasty 26, Egyptians started to portray goddess Bastet simply as a cat, sometimes adorned with a gold earring.
